Supporting Local Musicians with Millvale Music Festival
Giving Back to the Community Through Service
PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania - Sidekick Media Services, a Pittsburgh-based multimedia company, announces their involvement with the Millvale Music Festival slated for May 13, 2017. In its inaugural year, the event is slated to host over 100 musical acts across 16 stages throughout the Borough of Millvale. With the first band scheduled to begin at 11:30 am, performances will continue through midnight.
Regarding the involvement of the company, Sidekick Media Services representative, Missy Sorg said, “It’s such a unique event. Granted there are plenty of music events throughout Pittsburgh, but the Millvale Music Festival utilizes 16 venues with overlapping schedules to bridge multiple styles - from folk music to metal, into one event. And, it’s all volunteer-driven.”
Sidekick Media Services’ involvement entails Sorg’s assistance as a volunteer committee member assisting with event volunteer sign-ups, scheduling, and coordination. Because of Sorg’s business endeavors with Sidekick Media Services, the company is also extending its participation in the event to video production.
“As much as I am happy to help with volunteers, Sidekick Media Services is a multimedia production company. The least I can do is offer to help document this momentous occasion through video,” Sorg added.
With regard to video involvement, the company plans to provide a videographer and equipment to record various parts of the event which will be edited into a highlight video afterwards.
